Clearing Oracle JDeveloper temp and cache directory with hotkeys

Oracle JDeveloper keeps on creating temp, cache and history files. So as a best practice to boost up your JDeveloper performance keep deleting the files frequently. Every time you can't go these directories to manually delete the files, so you can assign hotkeys to perform this delete operation. You can use Fast Swap feature in Oracle Jdeveloper to speed up the development. To enable this feature use the below steps: Go to Tools Menu, then click Preferences Preferences dialog will appear. Click Run -> Weblogic and select Fast Swap radio button.

Fix java.lang.OutOfMemory Java Heap Space error in JDeveloper

Why out-of-memory error is thrown? Permanent Generation: The Permanent Generation is where class files are kept. These are the result of compiled classes and JSP pages. If this space is full, it triggers a Full Garbage Collection. If the Full Garbage Collection cannot clean out old unreferenced classes and there is no room left to expand the Permanent Space, an Out‐of‐ Memory error (OOME) is thrown and the JVM will crash. There are three basic JVM command switches that control the amount of memory in the Java heap. -XX:Xms -XX:Xmx -XX:MaxPermSize -XX:Xms used to set memory available to JVM initially. -XX:Xms used to set maximum amount of memory into which the JVM can grow . -XX:MaxPermSize are used to set size for Permanent Generation. SQL Query to fetch Exchange Rates/Daily Rates (using GL_DAILY_RATES and GL_DAILY_CONVERSION_TYPES) in Oracle Fusion Financials

In Oracle Fusion, GL_DAILY_RATES contains the daily conversion rates for foreign currency transactions. It replaces the GL_DAILY_CONVERSION_RATES table available in Oracle Apps. GL_DAILY_RATES contains the rate to use when converting between two currencies for a given conversion date and conversion type. Each row in this table has a corresponding inverse row in which the from and to currencies are switched. For example, if this table contains a row with a from_currency of YEN, a to_currency of CND, a conversion_type of Spot, and a conversion_date of January 1, 1997, it will also contain a row with a from_currency of CND, a to_currency of YEN, a conversion_type of Spot, and a conversion_date of January 1, 1997. GL_DAILY_CONVERSION_TYPES contains daily conversion rate types and their descriptions. This table corresponds to the Conversion Rate Types form.
