If you are using the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Free Trial account, Oracle provides free trial credits that you can use for creating virtual machines, databases, storage, and other cloud services.
Many users want to know:
- How many OCI credits are left?
- How much credit has been used?
- When will the trial expire?
In this blog post, we will learn step-by-step how to check remaining credits in OCI
OCI Free Tier Duration
Oracle Free Tier generally provides:
- $300 free credits
- Valid for 30 days
After trial expiration:
- Paid resources stop working
- Always Free resources continue running
Always Free Resources
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) provides a special Always Free tier that allows users to use selected cloud services permanently without paying any charges, subject to certain usage limits.
Unlike the 30-day free trial credits, Always Free resources continue working even after your trial credits expire.
Some OCI services remain free forever, such as:
- Small VM instances
- Block storage
- Object storage
- Autonomous database (limited)
On Oracle Cloud Free Tier screen, select the Tier Type as Always Free to view all Free resources.
