Follow these steps to create a new Oracle SOA 12c project:
- Open JDeveloper
- If you are opening JDeveloper for the first time you will see the following options in Application Window. If you don't see the application window, click Window from the Menu bar and then Applications
- You can also create a new application using File Menu
- New Gallery window will appear. In General category, choose Applications and then select SOA Application and click OK
- Enter the name of your application and click Next. Avoid using blank spaces
- Enter the project name and click Next
- Select the Project Template and Enter the name of the composite.
- In case you entered the composite name with space, then you will get the below error:
- Click Finish button once done. You will see the application in the application navigator and composite.xml will be opened for designing. Name of composite.xml will be displayed as the same name as the project name.
- In case you want to create a new project in the existing application like this one, choose Project option from the File menu or use drop down icon just in front of application name in application navigator and follow the same steps for creating the new project. Choose SOA Project in New Gallery window.
- You will then see two projects in application navigator.
